Description

Here is a beetle that we don't come across very often. It's rare because of it's color which is called Indian Red. Volkswagen only produced a limited amount of this color for the beetle only for the 1960 year. This is a two owner car. The car has had only one respray on it. While we could have completely fixed the body and paint we felt that the patina on it looked so good we didn't want to disturb it. The car has gone through a body off light restoration. The pans and heating channels have been replaced. Every little rubber piece on this car has been replaced. And when we say "every" we mean ALL RUBBER on this car has been replaced. Here is the breakdown of what has been done on the car. New brake system: which includes, master break cyl, wheel cyl all around, brake lines, and new drums and pads all around. 1200CC Engine was completely rebuilt: Case was split and is balanced and blue printed with new pistons and heads. New high quality interior The split case trans axel was replaced with a 1964 Trans axel for 4 full synchromesh gears New wiring harness. This included a 12 volt conversion yet still looks like 6 volt in the back. New Gas tank New tires Custom heated seats Bluetooth stereo Body off chassis: Included new pans and new heating channels. New rubber: This includes every little piece of rubber on the car was replaced. The car had a fuel gauge installed at the dealership in 1960 (which they didn't come with a fuel gage from the factory in 60') This was an option for the buyer back then. It still retains it's original German bumpers There is so much more to this car then I even could write down here without writing a novel.. So Please call us if you have anymore specific questions about the car. You will not be disappointed with this car when you see it in person! You can drive it as is and get a TON of attention or take it to it's final stage and finish it out with a body and paint restore. But honestly we like it the way it is!
