1958 Volkswagen Bus

We found a survivor here at Parnell Autowerks! This is a 1958 Volkswagen Type 2 Panel bus. In the world of split window bus's they definitely vary in condition. One major thing is rust. This bus has very minimal rust. The previous owner did a basic bondo body damage repair on it that needs to be sanded down better but other than that there is very minimal rust on the vehicle. The under carriage is solid and is presentable. Way back in the day someone converted it into a camper and cut holes on the sides. as well as a vent on top. I am sure you see that the rear fender wells are also altered. The good news is that you can get fitted metal and bring the fender wells back to stock if you want. The stories that this bus could tell you if it could talk!! Now the mechanicals! It has a freshly tuned 1600cc single port in it with almost perfect compression. New fuel lines, New front suspension as well as new shocks all around. All electricals work and the bus is now 12 volt. Newer tires as well. It drives like a truck but these were designed to carry loads on a daily basis. The transaxle has been changed to a beetle transaxle which is fully synchro in all gears. Folks this is a survivor that can be driven as is or completely restored. It is so hard to find these split buses even in this condition not alone driving for this price. We had a great idea about what you could make this bus and we thought "Brewery tap bus"!! The windows that were cut in the back can easily be removed and that is where you could place your taps! Also you could sand the bus down and wrap it in your own logo!! Take it to events as well as use it at your brewery as a delivery bus! Whatever you want to do the sky is the limits with this bus.
